Over the night ,before the war,the colonists made a wall on Breed's Hill. When the British soldiers woke up, they saw the wall and immediately went to war. The colonists were low on ammo so they could only fire when they saw "the whites of their eyes".Don't forget that the colonies were happy because they lost less people then the brithsh about 340 colonists died and about 1,600 british died.
